It’s been AGES since I posted any confessions and for that I am sorry.
It was only when I started seeing some photos from the Morganville TV show that I was just thinking, Dear God, I still have confessions sitting in my inbox. With all this crap going on, I should post that stuff, right?
not gonna talk about stupid myrnin’s outfit :<

I will say that as against them as I am, Bitter Blood wasn't bad. I mean, I have several issues with it, but storywise, it had me more into it than I expected. I'd say stick with it, until you feel you're wasting your money. There's always the MV Snark page, and plenty of people to plain with, if the book frustrates you. :)
I do really like the Snark page - even a good series needs a little snark now and then.
I will admit, I miss the characters immensely (especially Myrnin). Most things you need to take it as it is and reading the rest of the books won’t hurt me.
(I have such a weird love/hate relationship with these books. Jeez XD)

Vamps - and people - are very good at controlling their emotions, and not showing all facets of their personality. And in real life, people get crushes, or fall in love all the time for inappropriate reasons. So that's a bit hard to say. Also, RC constantly changes characterization, so there's that...
It is difficult - because people do change often, but I think vamps are less prone to that? I mean it’s RC’s book, so only she really knows what’s going on with her characters.
I think it’s funny you say this because my mum said the same thing today!

Loving all the people jumping in to the conversation!
I have a few confessions, too! Look for those later tonight.

I guess I can go with that- it’s better than him falling in love with a random side character.
Based on the pace of the book, too, I suppose it’s a decent length of time for his feelings to blossom.
It still creeps me out though. They seem more like close friends (so kissing would be ok), but I’m not sure if that was part of his canon reasoning.
Anonymous said: Myrnin does fall in love with Claire! And they kiss!
Back when Myrnin was introduced, I wanted him to fall in love with Claire and I still do enjoy their scenes together - especially when Ada has him captured and he ends up biting her.
It’s just that now I realize it is too out of character for him to fall in love once more. He loved Ada and he suffered so much on behalf of her. For vampires relationships are less fleeting, so it’s hard to think he’d throw away his past for something new. It’s not really his thing, considering last I checked he still was wearing Ada’s locket.
